Just before midnight on Friday, November 19th the bargaining teams for UBC and the Faculty Association reached a tentative agreement to conclude a new Collective Agreement for the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2012.
The committee will be providing a full report on the settlement agreement to the Executive Committee on December 6th and the Executive Committee will then make an independent recommendation to the members on whether or not to ratify the agreement.
The Association is currently putting together a package that contains all of the new and changed language and will be sending this package electronically to each member of the Association, along with the recommendation of the Executive committee after December 6th. Following that, the Association will hold information meetings at each campus. Finally, a ratification vote will be scheduled, by electronic ballot, before the end of the year.
