The Collective Agreement between UBC and the UBC Faculty Association is the legal document protecting your rights and governing your work as a UBC employee. Its terms are negotiated between the university administration and the Faculty Association, and it is in force until a new agreement is ratified. It governs many of the terms and conditions of your work at UBC.
The Collective Agreement is composed of several component sections. Several Letters of Understanding (LOU) and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) are also part of the Collective Agreement.
In April 2023, the bargaining teams for UBC and the Faculty Association reached an agreement for a new contract for the period July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. An information package was released to the membership (available in our Bargaining Blog) and the Collective Agreement was ratified by both parties in May 2023. A compendium to the Agreement was also posted.
The current Agreement covers the period July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. A pdf of this Agreement is available at this link. If you have any questions, please contact us.
