Seeking New Committee Members
Hello Everyone,
I recently took on the role of Chair of the Librarian and Archivists Committee, a Standing Committee of the Faculty Association Executive Committee, and I would like to encourage you to engage with the following activities that are planned for this fall.
The Librarian and Archivists Committee (LAC) mandate is: “to keep informed of the affairs of the Library and bring to the attention of the Association matters that directly concern Librarians and Archivists on the implementation of the Collective Agreement. The Committee shall also act as a forum for ideas regarding internal library matters put forth by Librarians and Archivists, and promote and encourage means of continuing education and professional development for Librarians and Archivists. The Committee reports to the Executive Committee and carries out its activities subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.” You can find the full Terms of Reference here.
Fall LAC 2024 meeting schedule:
- Tuesday, September 17th: 12:00-1:30PM
- Tuesday, October 15th, 12:00-1:30PM
- Tuesday, November 12th, 11:30AM-1:00PM
- Tuesday, December 10th, 10:30AM-12:00PM

As the Chair of the LAC, I welcome discussions from all of you pertaining to the matters outlined in the Terms of Reference.
